My Mines Family...

This is my family here at Mines at dinner tonight. Starting on the bottom left is Ben, next Ryan, then Jeff, Michael, Ian (making faces) and Dave. Not featured is Curtis. Michael and Dave (who does not live at the house) made dinner. Chicken stuffed with cheese, spinach and tomato. Risotto, corn and bread. It was amazing!

These guys are really family now. They have become so incredibly special to me in these last months. Looking back, it's hard to imagine what life was like without knowing them. They are all extraordinary guys and I am so happy to know them all!

Blessings...

I don't normally write on this blog, but I don't really have a picture for what is going on right now. As many of you know, I am sick, probably with the flu. Really sore throat, pounding headache, fever, cough, you know the drill. But it's going to be okay. I have lots of people looking out for me. Momma keeps skyping to check in on me and keep me company. August, my hall director, is taking my duty tonight and doing rounds for me. Dana, another RA, is helping out with paperwork. Brent, the director of Res Lif, keeps calling to check in on me. My Prob Stats teacher and I have been emailing back and forth. Callen is helping me out with the fluids homework, turning it in and getting it done. The person taking care of me most though, has been Ian. He's been an incredible blessing through it all. He's helped me finish homework in time and run across campus to turn it in. He holds me when the pain is worse and tries to distract me. He makes sure I have enough fluids. Ian has been wonderful. I hope this weekend will be relaxing for him and that he'll get lots of sleep. I'm trying to remind him to eat often and make sure he drinks enough water, but that's all I can do right now. I am so thankful for Ian. Thank you everyone, for all your prayers!
